About KidSONO

KidSONO is a unique educational platform designed to teach paediatric point-of-care ultrasound (PoCUS). It is designed to allow learners to choose which topics are relevant to their practice, progress at their own pace through peer-reviewed materials. KidSONO will test and provide feedback at various points along the way to allow learners to monitor their own progress and achieve mastery of knowledge and skills.

The program was designed with leading education theories in mind, including:

  • Adult learning theory
  • Mastery learning theory
  • Competency-based medical education

For educators

KidSONO is in keeping with leading PoCUS training guidelines including IFEM, CPoCUS and ACEP. Additionally, KidSONO allows for advanced learner analytics to track the progress of individual as well as groups of learners to maximize time spent teaching and to ensure competence.
