Course Description
Point-of-care ultrasound (PoCUS) is rapidly becoming the standard of care in the investigation of the pediatric abdomen for trauma and peritoneal free fluid. It can accurately detect free fluid better than physical exam alone. In addition, it has the benefit of being performed rapidly and safely at the bedside and is free from ionizing radiation. The KidSONO peritoneal free fluid module allows learners to master each step on the path to PoCUS competence. Upon completion, clinicians will be able to safely perform and interpret PoCUS images at the bedside.
