Course Description

Point-of-care ultrasound (PoCUS) is a rapid, safe, and non-invasive way to assess the kidneys and bladder in children. Hydronephrosis is a common pediatric finding with a variety of causes, and timely assessment is key to effective management. PoCUS can be performed at the bedside, repeated to monitor progression or response to treatment, and avoids ionizing radiation. The KidSONO Hydronephrosis module equips participants with the knowledge and hands-on skills to detect hydronephrosis, distinguish it from normal, and apply these skills in common pediatric clinical scenarios.
