Course Description
Point-of-care ultrasound (PoCUS) is rapidly becoming the standard of care in the investigation of skin and soft tissue infections. It can accurately differentiate various soft tissue infections better than physical exam alone and is an invaluable tool when planning procedures such as incision and drainage. In addition, it has the benefits of being performed rapidly and safely at the bedside and is free from ionizing radiation. The KidSONO skin and soft tissue module allows learners to master each step on the path to PoCUS competence. Upon completion, clinicians will be able to safely perform and interpret PoCUS images at the bedside.
